Alex has what I call a type-A personality. He's very driven to do whatever you ask of him. He is also very sweet and wants to please. From very early on he enjoyed herding. At four months old he was working the ducks and sheep. He started his herding career at 2 years old and completed all the requirements for the AKC herding championship at 6 years old. He is a fun dog and a blast to work with. I'm not finished with him yet. I still want to go into other venues with him and maybe pick up a couple more advanced titles.

Alex has an impressive background. His father, CH Uncle Frisco's Devilish Dei (UD, HSAs, STDsd, MX, MXJ, VCX), was one of the very first Shelties in Michigan to get the VCX title. His Great Grandfather, CH Autumn 'n Shenandoah's Murphy (29 title) was the second Sheltie in the country to receive the title of VCX. Murphy was also a search and rescue dog that actually saved a man's life. There are several other dogs in his background with just as impressive of a history.

Grace at 6 Weeks Old
     

Grace is an excellent herding dog. She's biddable, loyal and loving. She can read stock very well. She can handled stubborn stock with confidence. She came from a litter of 6 puppies, all of whom have gone on to do impressive things. It took until she was 5 months old before she would start to work stock. Once she did, it was a fun adventure to be on. She developed her skills and by the age of 1 year old we were working on her first trial title. She finished that very quickly and with a few placements. We then started working on the next level. She needed a few years to develop her skills . When she did finally put it all together she impressed several judges and came away with plenty of placements and a title. In 2009 she competed in Advance Sheep and quickly attained the HXAs title in one weekend. My next goal is to finish her Advanced Duck title. Then wew ill be in the hunt for Grace's herding championship.

Grace has an impressive background much the same was Alex. Her mother, HC Wildrose Faerie Tale is a petite, 13" spitfire that has advanced sheep, duck and cattle titles in ASCA. She is also working on her AHBA championship. Grace's brother, WTCH, HC Faerie's Dream Catcher, is also very impressive. He is a working farm dog that can do it all.
